In working with fragments, sculptures and installations start to intersect and discern new meaning. The textile shapes, inspired by late itallian baroque ballusters, mimic the succession of shapes whithin the wooden pillars. The soft ornamented textiles come from Obi, the outer layer of sash from the kimono. The pillars from simple, roughly cut pine act as their solid reflection. Allthough more ornamented, the textile objects will allways fail to mimic the succession of shapes the unkempt wood are able to sustain.
